Until PhotoArk started scanning the Guilford (Vermont) Historical Society's glass plate collection, this visual history of the local community remained hidden away in the reverse tonalities of the unprinted negatives.

Scanning some 200 of the collection of 4"X5" negatives has given the community an opportunity to reclaim a significant portion of its history as it resides in the photographic record of the time.
