When Wayne
Carhart, President of the Brattleboro Historical Society, became involved
with the "Main Street Plaza" project, he needed a display piece
to help generate public interest in the project and contributions to the
cause.
Wayne enlisted
PhotoArk to design and produce a sign to be placed on site while the project
is in progress. The architect's rendering was used, along with photographs
from the Historical Society's collection.
To quote
the text on the sign, "This intersection, at the heart of downtown
Brattleboro, has been the location of a private home, law office, car
dealership, gas station, and a Dunkin' Donuts. It is now the future site
of a restaurant and public park thanks to the partnership efforts of Building
a Better Brattleboro, the Brattleboro Area Community Land Trust, and the
Town of Brattleboro."
